FAAC Shares N2.036tn March Revenue Among Three Tiers of Govt
The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of N2.036 trillion among the Federal Government, state governments and local government councils as revenue allocation for March 2026.
The disbursement was announced after the committee’s April meeting held in Abuja.
According to the breakdown, the shared sum comprised N1.320 trillion from statutory revenue, N515.391 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N200 billion as augmentation.
From the total allocation, the Federal Government received N789.159 billion, while the 36 states got N657.596 billion. Local government councils received N468.826 billion, while oil-producing states were allocated N120.759 billion as derivation revenue.
FAAC also disclosed that gross revenue available in March stood at N2.364 trillion.
The committee noted that collections from Companies Income Tax (CIT) and excise duties recorded increases during the period, while revenues from oil-related sources declined.
The monthly FAAC allocation remains a major source of funding for the three tiers of government, supporting public spending, salaries, infrastructure projects and service delivery nationwide.
