This approved Salaries and Allowances of Federal Legislators as the remuneration package is contained in the Act of 2008 on Salaries and Allowances of “Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders which is legally binding on respective officers was recommended by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). The Economic Confidential magazine gathered that any salary or allowance outside the recommended package is unconstitutional, illegal as accounting officers of such organisations should be held accountable.
The Economic Confidential provides below the breakdowns of Regular and Non-Regular Allowances for Federal Legislators including the Senate President, his Deputy, Senators, Speakers, Deputy Speaker and members of the House of Representatives. Some items are to-be-provided (TBP) while others are not-applicable (NA) for some principal officers at the National Assembly.
