Buhari Releases 12,000 Metric Tonnes of Food to Flood Victims

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the release of 12,000 metric tonnes of food for distribution to victims of flooding across the nation.

In a tweet on the Presidency Twitter handle on Sunday, it was revealed that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has started the distribution of the food items to the affected states.

“President #MBuhari has approved the release to #nemanigeria of 12,000 metric tonnes of food items from the National Strategic Reserve, for distribution to communities affected by flooding, across the country. NEMA has since commenced transportation of these items to the States,” the tweet read in part.
