NDE Trains 50 Graduates on Enterprise, Finance Counselling

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Kaduna state directorate, on Friday concluded the training of 50 graduates and entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the occasion, NDE Acting Coordinator in the state, Mrs Victoria Williams-Dada, said the beneficiaries were trained on how to start and manage businesses, while those already into business were counselled on how to utilise resources.

“As we mark the end of this training today, I am hopeful that all of you are impacted with knowledge on how to write feasibility reports, and how to access loan.

“We hope that you will be able to train other people on how to run their businesses successfully and put it in practice, while starting up a business or building an existing one,’’ she said.

Alhaji Bello Faruk, one of the facilitators, congratulated the participants and urged them to utilise the opportunity by implementing the knowledge acquired during the training.

Faruk also advised beneficiaries to contact NDE office whenever they encountered challenges regarding their businesses, assuring that they would be guided effectively.

Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the directorate, saying they were now equipped with finance and business knowledge.

One of them, Miss Maryam Shehu, said that the training had brought out her inner potential, adding that she now knew how to conduct feasibility study and how to prepare financial statement.

Shehu promised to establish an egg distribution business immediately, with the little money she had been saving.

Also, Mr Bakare Abiodun, another beneficiary, said that the training had created avenue for graduates like him, to learn more on improving their businesses, and also starting up new one.

“I am going to apply the knowledge gained on cleansing business because the competition is very lucrative in the area I live,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the training began on March 7. (NAN)
