Forbes has released its list of Africa’s 10 richest musicians with Nigerians dominating. Seven Nigerians are on the list with Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy topping the list of richest Nigerians musicians but coming second to Senegal’s Akon.
The full list of Forbes and Channel O list include: Akon, CEO of Konvict Music;
Jazzy  producer, CEO Mavin Records, MTN, Samsung and Loyal Milk endorsements. D’Banj, Kanye West, Beyonce and Jay Z on production credits.
P SQUARE  the music duo has featured on Forbes Africa twice. They have recorded sold out concerts and have been presidential guests in at least five African countries. They fly private jets.
D’Banj- who is number four on the list, besides being a musician of note, has Sony Entertainment deal.
Whizkid- an EME artiste, is the CEO of Starboy, an affiliation with Disturbing London and has engaged in several international collaborations. He is the highest paid Pepsi ambassador in Africa and also an ambassador of MTN.
Idibiahas- recorded 10 million CD sales and at least seven million digital sales. He is associated with Guinness, Haven Homes, Airtel Worldwide and is a philanthropist.
Anselmo Ralph- he is not only making money through music, he is Samsung and Coca Cola ambassador as well as having a perfume line, clothing label and multimillion dollar tour bus.
Sarkodie- a rapper who is also Ghana’s youth ambassador, Sark Clothing, Samsung ambassador and Fan Milk Ghana ambassador.
Ice Prince- with six million downloads is 2 Studio owner, a member of One Foundation and Plug N Play ambassador.
Banky W- a co-owner EME, a Samsung ambassador, philanthropist and multiple award winner, is number 10 on the list.
