Nigeria, Turkey Strengthen Economic Ties

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has said Nigeria remains committed to strengthening economic ties with Turkey.

According to a press release, Edun said this when he received a delegation led by the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Hidayet Bayraktai, yesterday in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The Minister assured the delegation of the government’s continued support for foreign businesses, providing strategic insights to further strengthen economic ties.

“The meeting marked a crucial step in enhancing trade and investment between Nigeria and Turkey, with both nations expressing commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

“Discussion centered on exploring new opportunities for economic growth and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to sustainable economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement reads.

The delegation commended Nigeria’s economic progress and expressed appreciation for Nigeria’s efforts in fostering a business-friendly environment.

Both nations also explored new opportunities to enhance trade and investment between both nations.
