Ekiti Warns Civil Servants Against Stealing

0
altGovernor Segun Oni of Ekiti has warned civil servants against stealing public funds but should rather dedicate themselves in ensuring economic growth of the state.

Mr. Oni urged the workers to ensure equity in the management of the state’s small scale industry through prudence and accountability. He disclosed this at a three –day workshop for workers on “Process and Procedures in Public Procurement”.

He said:“The system that we ran before had always left waste and little advantage for the people. We do not need to steal. If you give to others, God almighty will give to you. Those who stole our money in the past have not been able to make good use of the money. Public service is a service to God; we should therefore stop believing that we can outsmart Him.
“Let us develop this state. It is not somebody in Lagos, Chicago or any other place that will help us take this state to the next level. It is you and me that will lift this state.”
