Earlier during the visit, Advocacy and Communication Specialist, CISLAC/TI-Nigeria, Abubakar Jimoh, stressed the importance of strengthening the Community Security Architecture to aid reporting of threat signals and timely response by relevant agencies.
According to him, lack of conflict sensitivity has exposed several communities to unwary attacks that resulted in loss of lives and property.
He also called for integrated conflict-sensitivity in media reportage, to de-escalate conflict and advance peace process at all levels.
Jimoh added that the visit was part of the underlying activities of the Early Warning and Early Response project currently implemented by CISLAC/TI-Nigeria in partnership with Open Society Foundation Africa (OSF-Africa).
