Economically Colonizing Independent African Nations – China Is On It’s Way,
Just like colonizing most African countries took something like handing out “sugar” and some other non-collateral items, in 21st century independent but dependent African countries are allowing China inroads as they use economic colonizing tool ‘PPP’ to enrope Africa.
There is no other group of people on God earth who easily yield to foreign influences and interests than Africans.
It does not matter who the foreign interests are, Africans just rollover and gladly do so.
The case of when China started making incursion, they didn’t do it by force but by understudying how Europeans did it and repackaged their approach.
Dangle money in front of deprived Africans who like monkeys chasing banana as they go for it.
When AU – African Union replaced OAU in name but as “new wine in old wine bottle”, Africa is back to doing same things.
AU announced building of new headquarters in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia, to cost less than $130m. China saw an opportunity and offered to build the facility. Like kids in a candy store, African leaders danced and welcomed China.
Now the “ant” is in, and like they say in old country, anyone who invites ants into their homes shall live to regret it.
Africans like the notion of “BUILD FOR US NOT THEM BUILDING FOR THEMSELVES”.

One would have imagined with 54 African countries, the cost of building the new AU headquarters would have been less than $3m per country, and with pride they would have built their edifice. But Africans have no shame – typical of beggars – there is no shame in the game.
Recently, the shameful conduct continues as Kenya President Uhuru Kenyetta, bubbling with joy commissioned a 16-mile $560m Tollway called expressway, built by China under a PPP. I could have suggested how Kenya can build the road without China.
China will operate the Tollway for 27 years before Kenya takes over if they takeover.

Nevermind in 1975, Kenya was first African country to receive IMF bailout, a country since independence that never had a military coup, and fewer than 5 presidents. One would have expected with all that, Kenya’s economy would have prospered such that they can tell China hit the road.
But no, Kenya is a beggar nation. Add to it, a former Kenya President Kibaki earned first class degree from London School of Economics. Impressive but that didn’t translate to making Kenya a vibrant economy because Africans holding impressive degrees justifies the saying “degrees are a dime a dozen”.
China is in and by invitation because Africans are yet to grow up.
Weep Not for Africa as Her situation is self destructive and inflicted.
Keep chewing.
