Federation Account: How They Share N386bn in January 2010 

Gross summary of Statutory Revenue and VAT Allocation
As part of the two allocations at the meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in January 2010, the Economic Confidential magazine provides here the distribution of a total sum of N386 billion being the Statutory and VAT allocations shared to all tiers of government. Other allocations are in Fact and Figures pages. From the total disbursement of nets after deductions, the highest recipients are from the oil producing states with Akwa Ibom receiving N10.08bn, Rivers N10.02bn, Delta N8.96bn, Bayelsa N4.29b The highest recipients from non-oil –producing states are Lagos N9.1bn and Kano N6.4bn.
The lowest recipients as revealed in the table below are Gombe N2.6bn, Nasarawa N2.5bn, Ebonyi N2.5bn and Ekiti N2.7bn. The Economic Confidential can also confirm other disbursements in December 2009: Federal Government N116bn, FCT Councils N975m, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) N1.9bn, and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) N3.5bn.
