The Chairman and CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Jalal Ahmad Arabi, addressed the 2024 Hajj inaugural flight ceremony on May 15, 2024, in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State. 

Flynas, the Saudi Arabian airline, and one of the three carriers that selected to conduct the 2024 Hajj airlift, was punctual at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport (SABIA) in Birnin Kebbi at 10:39 PM, ready to transport pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey of Hajj to Saudi Arabia. 

Five states; Kogi, Kebbi, Jigawa, Bauchi and Kano states, have subsidised Hajj fares for 10,260 intending pilgrims for the 2024 exercise, with a combined sum of N9,120,997,990 billion. 

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has told intending pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj not to pay any administrative charge or any fee to any official or agents aside the extra fare that has already been announced.  

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has facilitated the transportation of 2024 Nigerian Hajj pilgrims planning to travel to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by signing agreements with Max Air and Air Peace Airlines.
