Nigeria's economic hardship has continued with fuel prices continuing to soar in March 2024, caused mainly by the current economic reforms embarked upon by the Bola Tinubu administration, the dynamics of international energy rates as well as Nigeria’s inability to refine its fuels locally.

President Bola Tinubu has commended what he called the enterprising feat of Dangote Oil and Gas Limited in reducing the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), also known as diesel. 

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced further reduction of the price of diesel from 1200 to 1,000 naira per litre. 

Oil marketers are seeking a decrease in the pump price of the Automotive Gas Oil, popularly called diesel, being produced by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to between N700 and N850/litre, as operators plan to meet with the refinery managers in the coming week.
