Dangote Petroleum Refinery has advised Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited, along with other oil marketers, that the deregulation of the downstream oil sector should not be used to justify the importation of off-spec petroleum products or compromising Nigeria’s national interests. 

Officials from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and the Federal Government confirmed on Tuesday that the refinery received four crude oil shipments from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) under the naira-for-crude sale agreement. 

Oil marketers are seeking a decrease in the pump price of the Automotive Gas Oil, popularly called diesel, being produced by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to between N700 and N850/litre, as operators plan to meet with the refinery managers in the coming week.
