Senator, Okarufe Hail Bada’s Exit From CBN

Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology, Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice, and members of Okarufe Leadership Association were indeed pleased to celebrate one of their own, a very distinguished son of Okaland, Mr. Sunday Bada, who voluntarily bowed out of office Friday 01 June 2018, along with some of his colleagues, after years of meritorious service to our great country at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
It was a colourful and historic ceremony held at the Central Bank Headquarters in Abuja and was well attended by top management staff of the apex bank as well as dignitaries from far and near.
The high calibre and array of unique personalities that joined Sunday Bada in the celebrations of the historic moment underscored his rare attributes as a human dynamo and great ambassador of the Central Bank of Nigeria, his community-Oka Akoko in Ondo State.
The atmosphere, which could be likened to that of celebration and reward of excellence in a way, witnessed people eulogising Mr. Sunday Bada – as a man who has not only distinguished himself through impeccable credentials and enviable track records of performance during his service years; but also, as one truly loved and profoundly appreciated by his people, friends and associates.
It was indeed an inspiring moment as members of Okarufe Leadership Association (OLA) who were in attendance in large numbers to grace the occasion poured accolades remained very proud son, for successfully making impact and leaving behind indelible footprints in his chosen career at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, took time off his tight schedule at the National Assembly to join Sunday Bada in the celebration of that great chapter in his romance with destiny.
Senator Boroffice told the gathering that Mr Bada who hails from same town with him “is not only hard working, dedicated and committed but an epitome of excellence whom he is well pleased.”
Hence, the lawmaker’s decision to set aside all other engagements in honouring the OLA Financial Secretary with his esteemed presence.
The enviable attributes exemplified by Bada, according to Professor Boroffice who is the Asiwaju of Akokoland, attested to the stuff the current crop of retirees from the Apex Bank are individually endowed with.

Senator Boroffice congratulated Mr Bada on his successful sojourn at CBN.

Various speakers also took turns to praise Mr. Sunday Bada, and his colleagues, whom they described as dedicated officers and a crop of intelligentsias whose noble accounts and invaluable contributions will never be forgotten so soon in the history of the Number One Bank.

Bada, a very distinguished son of Okaland, joined the service of Central Bank of Nigeria in March 1989 and rose through the ranks to attain the exalted position of a Director, before his voluntary retirement from service after decades of meritorious service to his fatherland.

Okarufe Leadership Association members were led to the occasion by their Interim Chairman, Mr. Charles Olorunda, a former CBN senior staff.

Other distinguished members of OLA present were: Mr. Fidelis Okare, Mr. Mike Leramo, Mr. Alaba Yusuf, Mrs. Lizzy Olorunmonu, Bolaji Ayeni and Dr. Felix Ale.

A former gubernatorial aspirant in the last Kogi State Governorship elections, Honourable Emmanuel Ozigi, was also in attendance to share the joy of the moment with Mr Bada whom he described as “a tested and very reliable friend.”

Everyone wished the gentle young pensioner, Mr. Sunday Bada, a very successful retirement and many more years of great celebrations and ground breaking achievements in life.
