Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele; Co-Chair of the Lagos Finance and Investment Council (LFIC), Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede; and the Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Group, Tosin Eniolorunda, have been confirmed as keynote speakers for the third edition of the Invest Lagos Summit scheduled to hold from June 8 to 9, 2026.

The summit, organised by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, is aimed at positioning Lagos as Africa’s leading destination for investment, trade, innovation, infrastructure development and economic partnerships.

The two-day event is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, business executives, development partners, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to explore opportunities for accelerating economic growth and attracting investments into critical sectors of the economy.

According to the organisers, the summit will feature high-level discussions on themes including Lagos as Africa’s Global Gateway, the Future of Technology and Innovation, Unlocking Investment, Building the Cities of the Future, Global Partnerships for Growth, Talent, Creativity and Culture, as well as Energy and Sustainability.

Participants will deliberate on emerging opportunities across technology, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, finance, urban development and the creative economy, with a focus on driving sustainable growth and economic transformation.

Speaking ahead of the summit, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy and Head of the Media Subcommittee, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, said the event has been deliberately designed to move beyond policy discussions and deliver practical outcomes capable of stimulating investment inflows into the state.

Omotoso noted that the summit would showcase Lagos State’s ongoing investments and reforms across transportation, technology, energy, tourism, manufacturing and urban development, while highlighting new opportunities for local and international investors.

“Invest Lagos 3.0 is more than a conference; it is a strategic platform designed to connect investors with opportunities, facilitate meaningful partnerships, and showcase Lagos as Africa’s most attractive investment destination,” he said.

“Through this summit, we are bringing together government leaders, global investors, development institutions and business executives to explore opportunities that will unlock growth, create jobs and accelerate economic development across Lagos and Nigeria.”

The organisers disclosed that the summit will also feature investment pitches by state governors, business exhibitions, networking sessions, a gala dinner and strategic engagement forums aimed at fostering partnerships between government and the private sector.

Participants will further undertake guided visits to some of Nigeria’s flagship industrial and infrastructure projects, including the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Lagos Free Zone, Lagos Port Complex and RusselSmith’s advanced manufacturing facility.

The Invest Lagos Summit has become one of the state’s flagship investment promotion platforms, serving as a meeting point for policymakers, investors and business leaders seeking to leverage Lagos’ strategic position as Africa’s largest subnational economy and one of the continent’s fastest-growing commercial hubs.

Organisers expressed confidence that the 2026 edition would deepen investor confidence, strengthen public-private collaboration and reinforce Lagos’ position as a preferred destination for investment and innovation in Africa.
