Nigeria Revenue Service Unveils New Logo, Marks Official Transition from FIRS
The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially transitioned from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) with the unveiling of its new institutional brand identity and logo, signaling a major step in the evolution of Nigeria’s revenue administration framework.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday in Abuja, was announced in a statement by Dare Adekanmbi, special adviser to the NRS chairman. Speaking at the event, Zacch Adedeji, executive chairman of NRS, described the new identity as a milestone reflecting the authority’s renewed commitment to a more unified, efficient, and service-oriented revenue system aligned with Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda and global best practices.
Adedeji emphasized that the new logo represents continuity of purpose, strengthened institutional capacity, and a forward-looking approach to supporting taxpayers and national development. He assured the public that the NRS would continue to prioritize transparency, partnership, and service excellence.
“The unveiling of this new identity represents not an end, but the beginning of a strengthened relationship between the revenue authority and the Nigerian public—built on trust, clarity, and shared prosperity,” the statement read.
Adekanmbi noted that the NRS came into operation following the signing of its enabling law, the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act 2025, by President Bola Tinubu in June, marking the formal transition from FIRS to the newly established revenue authority.
The rebranding underscores the government’s determination to modernize tax administration in Nigeria and improve engagement with taxpayers nationwide.
