FHA Launches Maiden Customer Service Week to Rebuild Public Trust

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has joined the global “Customer Service Week” celebration, marking the start of a five-day event aimed at rebuilding public confidence and guaranteeing quality service delivery after decades.

The Customer Service Week, running from Monday, October 6, to Friday, October 10, 2025, aligns with the commitment of the FHA’s new leadership under Managing Director Hon. Oyetunde Ojo.

Ojo promised that the FHA would actively engage in local and global initiatives that promote healthy services and prioritize both customer attention and staff welfare. He pledged to mobilize all necessary resources to ensure continuous attention for staffers and customers alike.

Focusing on Excellence and Digitization

The week’s programs will culminate on Friday with the presentation of the “Excellence Service Award” to deserving staff members. Ebere Alalibo, the DGM of Servicom and Anti-corruption, stated that the maiden award is geared toward encouraging higher quality service delivery and recognizing dedication within the Servicom department.

“The decision to promote both staffers and customers during the ‘Customer Service Week’ cannot be overemphasized,” Alalibo said.

As part of the week’s events, the head of Servicom in Nigeria is scheduled to present papers on the importance of selfless service delivery to Nigerians.

The Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Kenneth Chigelu, urged customers and staff to cooperate with the management, highlighting the ongoing reforms. He commended the management for the complete digitization of activities, which has replaced archaic paper-based movement, and the establishment of laboratories to avoid speculations in projects.

Chigelu noted that the new leadership under Hon. Oyetunde Ojo has elevated the FHA to both national and international prominence in less than two years. He believes the “Customer Service Week” will herald a new dawn for the Authority.
