Dangote Refinery Begins Sales for Fuel at N739 per Litre
Dangote Refinery has launched nationwide sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at ₦739 per litre through MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations.
This move aims to improve fuel affordability and stabilise Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market. The refinery has over 2,000 MRS outlets across the country, ensuring uniform pricing.
The refinery commended marketers who adjusted their pump prices and urged others to follow suit, saying it’s a show of support for Nigeria’s economic recovery.
“We commend MRS and other marketers who have demonstrated patriotism by reflecting the reduced price at the pump,” the refinery stated.
This initiative comes as a relief during the festive season, typically marked by fuel scarcity and price hikes.
Dangote Refinery’s intervention guarantees a daily supply of 50 million litres of PMS, altering supply dynamics and reducing Nigeria’s exposure to international markets.
The refinery warned against artificial scarcity and price manipulation, urging regulatory agencies to take action. Consumers are advised to report any MRS station selling above ₦739 per litre via 0800 123 5264.
“Any attempt to create artificial scarcity is unpatriotic and unacceptable,” the refinery said.
