The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has refuted claims made by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) which reported a consecutive monthly drop in the rate of inflation in Nigeria.

Former Military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State, expressed deep concern over the living conditions of Nigerians, stating, "The hardship in the land is getting out of control. Everybody is crying of this hardship and it seems to be getting out of control, people cannot afford three square meals, the issue of transportation, the hike in fuel, the hike in school fees for the children and the lack of funds in everybody’s pocket is making life difficult for everybody." 

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has released a statement outlining the estimated prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from the Dangote refinery. The prices are for NNPC's retail stations across the country, including Lagos and other states.
