“We have absolute confidence in the way the Government and the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) have positioned the power sector reforms”, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru Waziri, the new Chairman of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has declared during a courtesy visit to the BPE on Friday, January 17, 2014.

Waziri added that the Board and staff of TCN are fully committed to reforms in the sector. He promised that he would reach out to all stakeholders in the sector, giving that the Nigerian project is for all to actualise.

In his remarks, the Director General of the BPE, Mr. Benjamin Dikki, stated that the privatisation agency is committed to assisting TCN to succeed. He noted that the briefing offered to the TCN boss during his visit was to “sensitise you that you are moving to a challenging environment that is not insurmountable”.

Dikki congratulated Waziri on his appointment and apprised him of the vital link of transmission in the value chain in the sector.
