Google Accelerator Program selects 5 Nigerian startups and Ten Others
Google has chosen five Nigerian startups and ten from other countries to participate in its seventh cohort of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa.
These startups develop solutions in areas such as healthcare, education, fleet management, logistics automation, and recruiting.
The accelerator is designed to bring the best of Google’s programs, products, people and technology to startups that leverage machine learning and AI in their company today or plan to in the future.
One of the Nigerian startups selected for the seventh class of startup companies is Clafiya, which connects patients with health practitioners to get affordable and accessible primary care in Africa; another is iVerify.ng, which provides digital identity verification services; and another is MDaaS Global, which provides modern, technology-enabled diagnostic services in clinically underserved communities of Nigeria.
Others are Terawork, a pan-African online freelance marketplace plugging Africa talent into the global workforce and truQ, a tech-enabled logistics platform automating and optimising short haul logistics for automated retail distribution companies in Africa.
