Breaking: CBN retains MPR at 11.5%

The Monerary policy committee(MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) on Tuesday unanimously voted to keep the Monetary Policy Rate(MPR) at 11.5%.

Godwin Emefiele, governor of the CBN, disclosed the committee’s decision at the end of its two-day meeting in Abuja.
The committee also retained the Liquidity Ratio at 30 percent and Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) at 27.5 percent and the asymmetric corridor at +100- 700 basis points around the MPR.
