Dangote’s New Blocmaster to Tackle Building Collapse
…Pledges Support to SMEs

Dangote Group’s new cement product, the Blocmaster, recently launched in Kano has the capability of tackling building collapse in the country, President/CEO of Dangote Group Alhaji Aliko Dangote has said.
“We are also happy to introduce you to our new cement product, Blocmaster recently launched in Kano with capacity to tackle building collapse in the country.”
Aliko Dangote stated this at the Dangote Special Day at the ongoing Abuja International Trade Fair in Abuja.
He also said that Dangote Group would also empower women and youths with funding, massive job creation, training schemes and so on as part of efforts to support the Small and Medium Enterprises in the country.
Aliko Dangote who was represented at the occasion by the General Manager at the regional office in Abuja, Mr Hashem Ahmed noted that the theme of this year’s fair, “Enhancing SMEs in Agribusiness Through Innovative Technology”, was apt as no nation can talk about its economic development without acknowledging the role of SMEs.
“It is indeed wise, in Dangote Group, priority is given to development of small businesses across the country to empower women and youth with funding, massive job creation, training schemes and so on”, he said.
He emphasized that SMEs are critical to overall development of the nations’ economy, not only in Nigeria, but the World at large.

“As a World-class organization, Dangote Group exists to serve and satisfy the people, to give them succor and make it easy for them to attain self-reliance and self-sufficiency in various ways. This can be seen in the production of most basic commodities and the establishment of facilities to enhance their lives”, he said.
He said the over-all objective of the Dangote Group, is to touch lives while complimenting Government effort in growing the economy.
He posited that while government has been strategizing and exploring different ways to restore the economy especially following the recession, Dangote Group’s role has also been strategic in enhancing the various sectors.
At display were different Dangote Products that have touched lives including the new Blocmaster that has been described by visitors and builders as a facelift in Nigeria’s building industry.
