Nigeria’s Total Trade Hits N26.80trn in Q4 – NBS
Nigeria’s total trade has reached N26.80 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to new data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

However, the country’s trade deficit widened significantly, as imports far outpaced exports.
According to the NBS report, exports totaled N12,693.62 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023, while imports stood at N14,108.33 billion. On an annual basis, the country’s total trade amounted to N71,880.01 billion, of which imports accounted for N35,917.62 billion and exports totaled N35,962.39 billion.
