The Minister of La­bour and Employ­ment, Sen Chris Ngige, has said the success of the future budget for the country would depend on the faithful implementa­tion of the Medium-Term Sector Strategy (MTSS) in all ministries and agencies of government.

He emphasised its criti­cal role in realising the vision of the present ad­ministration that operates a zero-budget system.

Ngige who disclosed this over the weekend while inaugurating the Sector Planning Team on Medium-Term Sector Strategy for the Ministry of Labour and Employ­ment, charged members of the committee to work assiduously with all stake­holders to actualise their mandate.

“The essence of the Medium-Term Sec­tor Strategy Committee (MTSS) is for us to work in consonance with the Ministry of Budget and Planning to actualise this administration’s vision in developing a framework for a 4-year National De­velopment Plan (2016-2020).
