NITDA Trains Staff on Digital Efficiency, Workplace Productivity

As part of activities marking the “2025 International Women’s Day” (IWD), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has organized a Digital Literacy Training for its female staff, aimed at enhancing workplace productivity and efficiency.

The training, themed “Accelerating Efficiency for Workplace Productivity,” was held on Thursday, at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN).

It focused on equipping participants with essential digital skills to optimize their professional output.

In his keynote address, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, represented by the Director of IT Infrastructure Solutions, Mr. Oladejo Olawumi, emphasized the critical role of digital literacy in empowering women and youth.

He noted that strengthening women’s capabilities in the digital space contributes to the overall success of any organization.

Similarly, the acting director, Dr. Tambuwal, outlined the training’s objectives, stressing the importance of equipping female staff with the tools necessary to adapt to technological advancements.

He highlighted that digital skills would enable them to contribute more effectively to NITDA’s mandate.

The training, which aligns with the Digital Literacy for All initiative, reinforced the role of technology in enhancing workplace efficiency.

Experts at the event demonstrated how digital tools could help participants work smarter, manage tasks more efficiently, and boost overall productivity within the agency.

At the end of the training, participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to upgrade their digital competencies.

The initiative reflects NITDA’s ongoing commitment to fostering a digitally inclusive workforce and promoting gender equality in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem.
