In his remarks, Mallam Yushau Shuaib, the Chief Executive Officer of IMPR, explained that the newly introduced PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship serves as a flagship program aimed at equipping young graduates with the essential knowledge, networks, and skills necessary for successful careers in communication.
Shuaib noted that the inaugural fellowship program was designed to train 30 young graduates in three segments, each held at different PRNigeria centers across the nation.
“The first cohort of 10 fellows successfully completed their training at the PRNigeria Headquarters in Abuja, with the top-performing fellow receiving sponsorship from the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to attend the prestigious PR Finishing School,” he stated.
Furthermore, Shuaib shared that the second cohort of 10 fellows had graduated from the PRNigeria Centre for Multimedia and Digital Innovation in Ilorin, with the best graduate being sponsored by the Honourable Minister of Information to the Finishing School. The third and final cohort of 10 fellows in 2024 is currently concluding their training at the PRNigeria Centre for Research and Development in Kano.
“Our aim is to empower youth with the skills and tools of strategic communication, enabling them to become entrepreneurs, self-reliant, and focused individuals,” Shuaib affirmed.
