Ramadan: Ansarudeen Budgets N29m for Feeding 500 People Daily

The Abuja Branch of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has budgeted over N29 million for its 2024 Ramadan feeding programme.

The Society’s Ramadan Committee chairman, Alhaji Ismail Omipidan, revealed this while flagging off this year’s feeding programme at the Ansar-Ud-Deen central mosque in Abuja on Tuesday.

Omipidan said that the program will last for 30 days, where about 500 select people will be giving two different meals on a daily basis.

“Our conservative budget for the feeding is a little over 29 million Naira. The total breakdown is Three Thousand Naira per person to feed five hundred mouths daily. These includes two of our mosques located in Abuja and the central mosque making three.

“So far, we have gotten donations from cash to raw foods which will last us for 15 days. We say thank you for supporting the feeding programme but appealed to other well-meaning Nigerians to support us”, Omipidan said.

Meanwhile, the ‘Feed The Fasting Muslim 1445AH (2024)’ as tagged by the committee has already kick-started with hundreds of persons trooping into the demarcated area at the Ansar-Ud-Deen central mosque in Abuja to break their fast.
