Abuja Residents Groan as Fuel Scarcity Bites Harder
By Khadijah Ahmad Ado
Some residents of FCT Abuja have expressed their concerns about the unending fuel scarcity in the country.
Speaking to ECONOMY ON THE STREET anchor, Rahma Oladosu, the residents said this is one of the longest fuel crises in the country’s history and it is making life unbearable for them.
“I use to order bolt where before as it cost me N1200, but now I have to spend N1700 and above” said one of the interviewees.
“The fuel scarcity is not supposed to be, if even it happens in other states it should not happen in Abuja, we should have the benefit of staying in Abuja.

“I have a car but it has been parked for two weeks because of the fuel scarcity,” another respondent said.
ECONOMIC CONFIDENTIAL can report that the ongoing fuel shortage started late last year and has not abated, causing motorists to stay in filling stations for hours while black market operators have a field day making brisk business.
