
NDLEA To Prevent The Use Of Drugs By Thugs During The Elections
The NDLEA has pledged to prevent the use of drugs by thugs and other individuals during the elections in Kano state. This was made known by the Kano state NDLEA Commander, Abubakar Idris Ahmad at a law enforcement training on ethics and integrity organized by CISLAC in collaboration with WiM in Kano state with support from MacArthur foundation in Kano state.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Executive Director of CISLAC Auwal Musa Rafsanjani called on law enforcement agencies to ensure that they are impartial in their actions ahead of the 2023 general elections to ensure that Nigeria’s democracy is consolidated.
Also speaking, the Executive Director of Women in Media Hajiya Halima Ben Umar while commending the security officials noted that they play a very crucial role in ensuring that the country is safe for elections.
Attendees at the meeting were drawn from the Nigeria Police, the NDLEA, the Kano state anti-corruption commission.
