SON Drums Support For Made-in-Nigeria Goods

Director-General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) Mallam Farouk Salim has explained why the agency is drumming support for made-in-Nigeria goods.

He said the support was as a result of the critical roles in providing long-term solutions to the nation’s security and economic woes.

The SON chief stated this during a visit to four manufacturing companies at various locations in Port Harcourt.

At separate meetings with the Chief Executives of Notore Nigeria Plc, Indorama Nigeria Plc, Bua Group and Dufil Nigeria Limited in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, the DG SON said the importation of substandard goods was killing the manufacturing sector and fuelling insecurity.
