
UNIMAID Alumni Group to Donate 20 Solar Power Panels to Institution

The University of Maiduguri Alumni Association, FCT Chapter, has announced a plan to donate 20 Solar Power Panels to the Iinstitution.
This was disclosed at the 2022 UNIMAID annual general conference and Marketplace exhibition which held in Abuja.
The Chairman UNIMAID Alumni Association, FCT Chapter, Baba Shetima Kukawa, informed the audience that due to the destruction of the power grid by insurgents in Maiduguri, the students find it difficult to study at night. In this regard, the Alumni Group is ready to support the University with 20 Solar Power Panels to enhance power supply on campus.
Senator Kashim Shettima who was the chairman of the occasion said Universities are created to improve the nation and Alumni associations can mobilise resources to bring about quality development.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sun Trust Bank, Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) and entrepreneurs also took part in the marketplace exhibition.
The Alumni general congress had a good turnout of ex-governors, ministers, permanent secretaries and others.
