CAC Engages Courier Firms to deliver Registration Certificate to Clients- CAC Boss
The Registrar General, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Mr. Abubakar Garba said company registration certificates will now be delivered to clients through courier services or electronically.
The development, according to him, is to avoid physical contact with clients to checkmate the spread of Corona virus.
The CAC boss disclosed this weekend in a press conference held in Abuja.
Abubakar noted that since the easing of the nationwide lockdown because of the pandemic, the CAC premises had continuously been overwhelmed with clients, forcing the management to take a drastic decision in compliance with the presidential task force protocols to stop the spread of the virus.
” Effective this week, all new certificates will be sent through courier companies while the customers bear the cost of logistics”, he said.
He revealed that starting from the second week of August 2020, every other processes involving clients will be accomplished by mail.
Abubakar said: “We are responsible institution. We have to abide by government directives. We cannot continue with this crowd in this place and some things have to give way.
He stated further that when the new policy takes off in August , only skeletal services would be carried out by the commission while outsiders would no longer be allowed to have access to sensitive documents as practiced in the past.
