Ajaokuta- Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline’ll Revive Economy – Gov Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Mr Abdullahi Sule, has backed the Ajaokuta- Kaduna-Kano Gas pipeline project, describing it as a major infrastructure that would boost economic activities across the country.

Sule position was made known in in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ibrahim Addra, and made available to our correspondent in Lafia on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the governor spoke during a live discussion programme, Tuesday Live, on the Network Service of the Nigeria Television Authority.

The governor said that the Ajaokuta Steel project if completed would have positive impact on the nation’s economy.

He added that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, had the capacity and commitment to deliver on the 614 km-long pipeline developed to transport natural gas from the south to the central part of the country.

Sule said the multiplier effect of the project was the needed catalyst to revive industries that would create wealth and reduce unemployment in the country.
