Edo Disburses N202m To 2,250 Agric Start-ups
The Edo State Government says it has commenced the disbursement of over N202m to 2,250 start-ups across five Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement by the state government on Thursday, the Focal Person, Project Support Unit, Edo Sustainable Development Goals, Mrs Ifueko Alufohai, was quoted to have disclosed this at a training and disbursement of the grants to beneficiaries in Ovia South West LGA.
Alufohai said five local government areas in the state were selected to benefit from the programme in 2012 and 2013 based on their low-income status.
She explained that the implementation of the programme had failed until the governor, Godwin Obaseki, assumed office in 2016.
