
KEDCO Establishes 9 New Units, Inaugurates Head Office Annex
As parts of efforts towards its expansion programme, the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has commissioned its head office annex building located along Nasarawa Hospital road Kano State. The building will accommodate 11 units altogether. 7 new units and 4 already existing units.
The 4 existing units relocated from main Head office to the Annex are: Accrual Income, Service Quality Assurance, High Revenue Base (HRB), and High Consumer Base (HCB) While the 7 new units that would be accommodated at the Annex are: Customer Satisfaction Index, Demand Side Management, Base Transmission Station, HCB Arrears Recovery, Business Development, Special Consumer Group and Connection Management Group.
This development is in line with the company’s desire to prepare for more expansion in the future and the capacity to promptly respond to the demands of customers both in service delivery and complaints resolution.
While inaugurating the annex building , the MD/CEO Dr Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna says that KEDCO is poised to improving service delivery package as well as creating an environment conducive for staff to work to deliver on KEDCO’s mandate of prioritising customers’ needs and demands.

“KEDCO has tried countless ways to improve employees’ performance and drive motivation and moral which will ultimately culminate into better service delivery package for our numerous customers across our franchise areas.
“To us in KEDCO, motivating our employees is a delicate and purposeful challenge that requires more than a speech or taking notes, it’s more in action and that is what we have done.
“The inauguration of this annex demonstrates our capacity and desire to grow and become the best DisCo is in the country and I believe we are on the right track.”
He, therefore called on numerous customers to buy into KEDCO’s expansionary vision by embracing the MAP scheme, which according to him correlates with the era of digitization of service delivery in line with the technological drive of contemporary times.
He added that “ customer must show reciprocal commitment in terms of payment of bills to sustain power sector reform in KEDCO franchise areas”.
