Clergy Admonishes Edumoga Indigenes on Zeal for Community Development
Members of Edumoga Catholic Community Keffi Branch have been enjoined to be united and zealous in the development of their home communities as this would raise the bar of even development, apart from reducing near abject poverty.
The admonition was made by Reverend Father Emmanuel Ogah at the just concluded Feast of St. Mathew Edumoga Catholic Community at Kabayi, in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The Catholic Clergy further said that apart from unity and zeal, all members must cultivate the spirit of reconciliation, healing and having one voice which are prerequisites for tackling insecurity and other social vices.

Quoting from the Book of 1st Samuel Chapter 17 where Goliath taunted the people of Israel which was promptly checkmated by Young David, Rev. Fr Ogah urged all Edumoga sons and daughters to be steadfast, courageous and determined to effectively defend their roots, adding that no meaningful development can take place in the face of rancor, bitterness and acrimony.

He called on the Christian community to shun all divisive tendencies that downplay cohesion and hold on to the bond that would greatly unite them for common good.
Earlier, the President of the Keffi Branch of St Mathew Edumoga Catholic Community, Brother Sunday Adokwu expressed joy and appreciation for the officiating Priest of the occasion, Rev Fr. Emmanuel Ogah for honouring the group’s invitation by travelling all the way from his home at St John and Paul’s Parish in Apa, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.
He ignited a standing ovation from the almost 1455 attendees for the Officiating Priest for his rare courage, magnanimity by leaving his tight schedules and defiling all odds to be at the occasion, advising all Priests of Edumoga extraction to emulate the example of Fr Emmanuel Ogah.
He promised the participants for a more robust end-of-year get together, which will be laced with traditional dances, cultural displays and demonstrations from the Edumoga Central Choir among other entertainments.
