Buhari’s achievements relegated PDP to permanent defeat-Gwamna
Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna , A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State says the outstanding achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari has relegated the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) to permanent defeat ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Gwamna said this while fielding questions from newsmen recently, on the growing APC supporters across Gombe South which used to be the home of the PDP.
According to him, PDP had their chances of winning the love of Nigerians for 16 years but they were busy pleasing themselves with the wealth of the nation.
He said: “If the APC wins is no longer fashionable in Gombe as everyone now knows that the APC will win explosively. Gombe has got the secret of where good governance lies and they have turned to APC for redemption from the PDP slavery and undemocratic way of managing the affairs of the state.
“President Buhari’s achievements in security, agriculture, human capital investment, power sector, road and infrastructure, health, economy, signing the not-too-young-to-run bill into law and many other achievements have cemented the PDP to complete defeat.
“With the President Buhari’s achievements cutting across board, it has become difficult for the PDP to campaign as there is no weakness in the Buhari’s administration that can be used against him.
The Gombe APC chieftain said allowing PDP to have governed the state and Nigeria was the biggest mistake that Nigerians were not willing to take, adding that a vote for the PDP at any level was a vote for the enemy of democracy.
Gwamna added: “From what is happening in Gombe South which had not really favoured the APC in the past because of the lies of the PDP, it was easy for the PDP to rig the election by compiling huge results from those areas.
“Now that the people have turned in their supports for the APC, I am now more convinced that the PDP is fully relegated to the role of being an opposition and they would stay relegated even in Gombe come Feb. 16 and March 2.
He appealed to Gombe electorates to vote President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya to salvage the future of Nigerians from predators in the PDP who were hungry to comeback to continue from the mess they plunged us into.
Gwamna also appealed to the people to shun vote buying and protect their votes through proper vigilance and insisting on the right thing to be done in an atmosphere of peace.
