
Kano Trade Fair: Dangote Special Day Holds Dec 2
The Dangote Special Day at the Kano International Trade Fair, has been scheduled for the 2nd December, 2018, at 12 noon prompt.
Dangote Group is a sponsor of the fair.
Governor of Kano State, Dr. Umar Ganduje, commended Aliko Dangote for his support to the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, and the State in general.
A statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Dangote Group, Mr. Anthony Chiejina said the event offers investors, traders and customers, the opportunity to view products of Dangote Industries Limited, and network with the Group on its various production lines.
He said newly launched high quality products, namely, Bloc-Master cement, Dangote Stew Mix and Curry powder, and Semolina whole wheat meal, gives traders and customers value for their money.
The new products would be displayed at the fair along side Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt, DanQ seasoning, and Pasta varieties of the Conglomerate.
Governor Umar Ganduje, while declaring the fair open, said its theme, “Ease of Doing Business as key to Sustainable Development in Nigeria”, is timely and corelates with the World’s current trend on Commerce, Investment, Economic Growth and Development.
He said aside Dangote Group, other sponsors’ collaboration with Government and the Chamber, has gone a long way in enhancing the economy of the State.
President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, KACCIMA, Dalhatu Abubakar, while speaking at the fair, said KACCIMA appreciates and accord special regards to the official partners of the 39th Kano International Trade Fair for their contribution to its success.
“We have hope that the fair will be the most rewarding”.
KACCIMA called on private investors to key into agricultural development as the sector occupies prominent position in its economy with annual grain production exceeding 4m metric tons-rice, wheat and barley, legumes, Oil seeds, fiber and spices.
Kano State hosts over 400 manufacturing enterprises, leading sub-sectors like leather tanning, seed processing, rice milling, textiles, and animal feed production.
The ancient City also serves as a regional trade hub servicing a market of over 300m people.
