The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has concluded a capacity building programme for Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).
The fifty-two day long training programme is in line with the existing collaboration between the NDIC and the EFCC towards enhancing the capacity of the EFCC’s staff.

Among the fifty-eight (58) participants that attended the training programme, fifty-two (52) were drawn from EFCC and six (6) from Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).
The training programme was structured into six (6) courses:
Accounting for Non Accountants
Foreign Exchange Investigation
Tracing and Tracking of Suspicious Transactions
Financial and Banking Regulations
Auditing and Investigation Fundamentals
Financial Analysis
Out of the forty eight (48) paper facilitators for the capacity building programme, thirty-seven (37) were from NDIC while the other eleven (11) were Subject Matter Experts from financial system Regulators, Operators and Practitioners.
The training programme was residential and took place at the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja. It commenced on Monday, 22nd August, 2016 and was concluded on Wednesday, 30th November, 2016.
