
….As FG begins rehabilitation processes
The release of 21 Chibok Girls by the Boko Haram through tacit negotiations did not involve any swap deals, either monetary or exchange of detained members of the deadly sect, the Federal Government has said.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja shortly after the federal government confirmed the development, Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said “as far as we are concerned, there was no swap deals involved in the negotiation and that the development is building confidence between the federal government and the Boko-Haram sect”.
The Minister further said that already arrangement are ongoing for the assemblage of Doctors, nurses and other medical officials who will eventually attend to the girls to enhance quick rehabilitation and integration into the society.
In a tweeter handle of the Senior Special Assistant Media to the Vice-President immediately after the release of the Chibok girls, Laolu Akande said, “FG is now gathering medicals and other support services in Abuja for the just released 21 girls”, collaborating the Ministers address.
