President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday approved the appointment of 17 heads of agencies under the Ministry of Education and retained four.
The appointments were contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Director Press and Public Relations in the ministry, Mr. Ben Bem Goong.
He said the appointments were with effect from Monday, August 1, 2016.

Aderinto, Computer Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN); Prof. Bappah Aliyu, National Commission For Colleges of Education (NCCE); Dr. Abdullahi Bichi Baffa, Tertiary Education Fund (TETFund); Prof. Garba Dahuwa Azare, National Teachers Institute (NTI); Prof. Michael Afolabi, Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN); Prof. Steven Ejugwu Onah, National Mathematical Centre, Sheda (NMC); Prof. Ishaq Olarenwaju Oloyode, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Prof. Chinyere Ohiri-Aniche, National Institute of Nigerian Languages (NINLAN).
The statement said Dr Mas’ud A. Kazaure of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Samaila Junaidu of the Nigeria Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), Prof Raauf Adebisi of the Nigerian French Language Village Badagry, (NFLV) and Prof Muhammad Mu’az of the National Arabic Language Village, Maiduguri, Borno State (NALV) were to retain their respective positions.
The new chief executives will meet the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu in his office today by noon.
