

There had been rumours that the Presidency withdrew the documents owing to widespread irregularities observed by analysts and the large criticism that some of the estimated attracted.
However, the Office of the Vice President issued a statement denying that the document was withdrawn.
Debate on the budget estimates was supposed to dominate discussions as the assemblymen resumed this Tuesday but it was a surprise when no issues relating to the budget for was raised for deliberation.
Senate sources told Economic Confidential that Senate Leader, Ali Ndume had told his colleagues at a closed session that the documents were actually missing.
An angry Senator who spoke seeking anonymity said “there had been talks before today that the Presidency has withdrawn the budget for reasons best known to them, but some of us did not believe.
“We resumed today only to get confirmation that the budget was missing. Even if you want to withdraw the document, the right thing to do is to write to the House”.
