One time Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Nasir El-Rufai has reacted to the suspension of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the governor of CentralBank of Nigeria, CBN, saying that the President’s action was the height of desperation and impunity.
Jonathan had few hours ago, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati said he suspended the Dan Majen Kano due to his, “recklessness and misconduct which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focusedeconomic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline.”
But reacting to the development, El-Rufai said Jonathan’s decision to suspend the Apex Bank Governor and replacing him with Dr Sarah Alade was the height of desperation and impunity.
The politician-cum-writer took to his Twitter page to voice his anger when he said, “when a government is desperate to protect the most corrupt in its midst, the first target is the truth and bearers of the truth. This is the height of desperation and impunity.”
