The Economic Confidential magazine provides here the distribution of a total sum of N796 billion being the statutory and VAT allocations shared to all tiers of government at the meeting of the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in April 2012. From the total disbursement of nets after deductions, the highest recipients are from the oil producing states with AkwaIbom receiving N21.3bn followed by Rivers N20.8b, Delta N17.7bn and Bayelsa N10.9bn. The highest recipients from non-oil –producing states are Lagos N15.2bn and Kano N12bn.
The lowest recipients as revealed in the table below areGombe N4.5bn, Nasarawa N4.7bn, Ebonyi N4.3n and Ekiti N4.7bn. The Economic Confidential can also confirm other disbursements in April 2012: Federal N234bn, Ministry of FCT N4.8 billion, FCT Council N1.8bn, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) N2.8bn, and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) N4.4bn.
