Delta State government would embark on rehabilitation of all roads in the state, including those owned by Federal Government because of its concern for good road and safety of the people.
The governor of the state, Emmanuel Uduaghan stated this while inspecting the
state Direct Labour Agency (DLA) rehabilitation work on the Delta Steel Company (DSC) round-about Effurun.
According to him, the state was not expecting any refund from the Federal Government for the money expended on the project. The governor, however, criticized the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, for abandoning its duty of maintaining Federal Government roads in the state. He said the state government embarked on the repairs of the road because of its benefits to the people.
